While trying to find a printable food journal online I stumbled upon these questions you should as yourself if you're considering starting a weight-loss journey. After reading and answering the questions I feel this will be a helpful tool to anyone who is starting a weight loss program. Here are the questions and my answers. Enjoy, Joline :)
1. Why do you want to lose weight?
MY ANSWER: I want to lose weight to promote an overall healthy lifestyle
2. What weight loss plan do you intend to follow?
MY ANSWER: I intend to follow a controlled calorie menu designed by myself, experimenting with foods along the way, as well as a vigorous daily excersize regimine.
3. Are you committed to losing weight or only interested in losing weight? What does being "committed" mean to you?
MY ANSWER: I am committed to losing weight and turning my life around. Committed to me means having your mind, body and soul and intune with one another working toward the same goal. Gotta have your head in the game!
4. What behaviors/actions got you in the shape you're in today?
MY ANSWER: I come from a long line of social eaters. I'm not gonna lie, we LOVE food. But at some point you have to take control of your life. I also contribute my obesity to not having portion control I have always ate until I couldnt breath because the food was so good. Yes that would be considered a food addict. After starting this journey and taking hold of how much I should actually be consuming I feel so much better!
5. What will be your biggest challenge in your weight loss?
MY ANSWER: My biggest challenge will be going to my families house for dinner. Like I said we are social eaters so i have to bring my ice cream scoop and stay on target.
6. How will you reward yourself along your journey?
MY ANSWER: I will be rewarding myself by putting a dollar for every pound I lose into an envelope and when I reach my goal that money will go towards a vacation. NYC OR BUST!
7. What changes do you expect in your life as a result of losing weight?
MY ANSWER: As a result of losing weight the changes I am expecting are a healthier me, more self confidence and esteem and smaller clothes.
8. Why is weight loss important to you?
MY ANSWER: Weight loss is important to me because I want to be a healthy person. I am a medical student and I can't wait to have kids and I want to be a role model for them one day and I also want to be able to chase after them without being out of breath.
9. Who will you use as your support system?
MY ANSWER: My support system will be my sisters and family
10. Where will you turn when you need to self-motivate?
MY ANSWER: I will look in the mirror and also to my sisters
